Steps to using the Scientific Method
You will be thinking like a scientist if you ask yourself the following questions as you work on your science project.
- Make Observations --> What interests me?
- Think of a question ---> What do I want to find out?
- Research the topic ---> What have other scientists discovered?
- Make a hypothesis ---> What do I think will happen?
- Design the experiment ---> What materials do I need? What steps must I take?
- Conduct the experiment ---> What happened during the experiment?
- Analyze the data ---> Was my hypothesis supported? Why did this happen (or not happen)?
- Make a conclusion ---> Did I find out what I wanted to know?
